Full-colour digital print on 3mm satin black ACM, your design is UV printed directly onto satin black aluminium composite panels, mounted to both faces of the A-board frame.
Satin finish — neither gloss nor flat, the satin surface sits between gloss and matt, giving a refined sheen that catches directional light without the hard glare of a high-gloss panel. It reads as quality in any lighting condition.
Dark elements blend seamlessly into the substrate, black and near-black areas of your design disappear into the satin black face — a characteristic that skilled designers use to create depth, layering and the impression of fine detail cut directly into the surface.
White ink layer for light colours, because the substrate is black, any light-coloured elements in your design — white, cream, pastels — require a white ink underlay to print accurately. Our studio team handles this as part of the artwork preparation process, and it will be shown on your PDF proof before production begins.
12mm FSC-certified European Birch face plywood frame, the natural plywood structure sits in deliberate contrast to the satin black faces — warm, architectural grain against a deep matt-finish panel — giving the board a distinctive look that suits premium brands across hospitality, leisure, luxury retail and professional services.

PDF artwork proof before production begins
Artwork should be supplied as a vector file (AI, EPS or PDF with outlines) or a high-resolution PNG or JPG at 100dpi or above at final print size. Text must be outlined if your file is vector-based. A PDF proof will be provided for your approval before production begins.
Because the ACM substrate is black, any light-coloured elements in your design — white, cream, pale gold, silver or pastel tones — require a white ink underlay to print with accuracy and brightness. Without a white layer beneath them, light colours will be absorbed by the black substrate and may appear muddy or invisible. Our studio team applies white ink underlays as part of the artwork preparation process and will flag this clearly on your PDF proof. If your design is predominantly light in tone, a flood white layer may be applied across the full print area — we will discuss this with you before production begins.
Designs that work best on satin black ACM tend to use strong contrast: white, gold, cream or metallic tones on a black background, with bold typography and clear graphic elements. Fine reversed-out detail also works well. If your brand colours are predominantly dark, please discuss with our team at the point of ordering.
Clean the satin black ACM faces with a soft, damp microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive cloths or solvent-based cleaning products, which can dull the satin finish or affect the printed surface over time.
This product is guaranteed for indoor use. The ACM panels and plywood frame will tolerate light outdoor conditions, but we recommend bringing the board inside during rainfall and storing it indoors when not in use.
Remove the board from its packaging. The satin black ACM faces will arrive mounted to the plywood frame and the board will be fully assembled, ready to use.
Open the board to your preferred display angle. The side chains will engage to hold the board stable at the correct opening.
Position the board on a flat, stable surface. On smooth indoor flooring, rubber feet or a non-slip mat under each leg will prevent the board sliding.
To clean the satin black ACM faces, wipe with a soft, damp microfibre cloth. Do not use abrasive materials or solvent-based products.
Fold the board flat for storage or transport by lifting the chains clear and folding the two panels together. Store the board upright or flat on a padded surface to protect the ACM faces from scratching.
