Wall fixing hardware
The Spitfire Wall Board is designed for interior use only. The 3mm melamine panel performs well in dry indoor environments such as restaurants, cafés, offices, shops and classrooms, but must not be installed outdoors or in damp or high-humidity rooms.
Liquid chalk wipes off cleanly with a damp cloth. Traditional chalk may leave a faint ghost mark on darker stain colours; a slightly damp cloth with a little extra pressure will clear it fully. For a completely fresh surface, a small amount of white spirit on a cloth can remove residual staining without damaging the melamine.
The board is supplied with fixings suitable for solid walls. If fixing to plasterboard or dot-and-dab walls, use appropriate cavity fixings available from any hardware shop.

Hold the board against the wall in your chosen position and use a pencil to mark the fixing point locations.
Set the board aside. Drill pilot holes at the marked positions, using the correct bit size for your wall type.
If fixing to masonry or plasterboard, insert the appropriate wall plugs before continuing.
Drive the supplied screws into the wall, leaving the heads slightly proud of the surface.
Hang the board onto the screws through the keyhole slots on the back of the frame.
Slide the board downward until the screws lock into the narrow part of each slot.
Check the board is level and adjust the screw depths if needed.
